Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express trial run held on 26 December
The train left from Mangaluru Central Railway Station at around 8:30 am on Tuesday for the semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express trial run, arriving at Madgaon Railway at about 1 pm.
There were local leaders, railway officials, and Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. The Mangaluru Central Railway Station’s platforms 4 and 5 were also examined by the MP.
On December 30 in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate five Vande Bharat trains and two Amrit Bharat trains.
The Mangaluru Central railway station will host an event.
The Vande Bharat Express train, which runs between Madgaon and Mangaluru stations, has been welcomed by the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).
Given its proximity to the district, Goa is a popular tourist destination for residents of Mangaluru and Dakshina Kannada district, according to a senior KCCI official.
KCCI has been adamantly advocating in various forums, such as the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meetings held in Palakkad, where KCCI is one of the designated associations, for the necessity of the Vande Bharat trains between these destinations.
