Pune: Obtaining and maintaining a marriage certificate is often a hassle. However, now the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has given relief to the citizens by making the same certificate available directly on ‘DigiLocker’.

Pune has become the first municipality in the country to provide the facility of marriage certificates directly on ‘Digilocker’, soon it will be possible for Pune residents to get passports by just showing the actual birth certificate.

Through the central government’s ‘DigiLocker’ facility, citizens have made their documents like Aadhaar cards, driving certificates, PAN cards etc. available online on mobile. Hence, there is no need to carry all these documents. Like other documents, a marriage certificate is also included in this list.
