The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has officially opened the online registration for the Maharashtra Common Eligibility Test (MHT CET 2025). For those needing extra time, applications can be submitted with a late fee of Rs 500 until February 22. Candidates who have completed Class 12 or are set to take the exam in 2025 are eligible to apply for the exam. It is essential to have Physics and Mathematics as core subjects in Class 12, in addition to one optional subject chosen from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subject, Computer Science, IT, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
In Class 12, students are required to study Physics and Mathematics as core subjects, in addition to selecting one optional subject from a range of options including Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subjects, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
Candidates belonging to the general category will need to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 for the MHT CET 2025. In contrast, candidates from the Backward Class Category, which includes SC, ST, VJ/DTNT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC, EWS, as well as Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and all Orphan and Transgender (Other) category candidates, will be required to pay a reduced fee of Rs 800.
Approximately 20 percent of the weight will be allocated to the Class 11 curriculum, while 80 percent will be assigned to the Class 12 curriculum in the formulation of the CET question paper. Additionally, there will be no penalties for incorrect answers in the examination.
The examination will take place in two distinct groups: PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). According to the preliminary schedule published in November, the PCB group’s examination is anticipated to occur between April 9 and April 17, 2025, with the exception of April 10 and April 14, 2025.
