Mother son duo dies due to electrocution in Chakan
A heartbreaking incident occurred in Chakan where a mother and her 14-year-old son died due to electrocution on the roof of their house. The victims have been identified as Pallavi Jaju and her son, Samarth Jaju. The tragic event took place on Tuesday around 5:30 PM.
According to police, the Jaju family resided in Kalewadi, Chakan. On Tuesday evening, Pallavi went to clean the terrace and Samarth accompanied her. Unbeknownst to them, an electric current had charged the roof sheet installed to prevent water from entering the staircase. A live wire was hanging from an iron angle on the roof.
As Samarth touched the wire, he was electrocuted. In a desperate attempt to save her son, Pallavi also came into contact with the live wire. Both mother and son were electrocuted and died on the spot.
The incident has left the community in shock and grief, highlighting the severe dangers of electrical hazards in residential areas.
