Mukesh Ambani, Rishi Sunak, and Narayana Murthy Attend India vs England T20I at Wankhede
The fifth T20 International between India and England at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium saw several high-profile attendees. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, his son Akash Ambani, and billionaire Ajay Piramal were spotted enjoying the match alongside Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and his son-in-law, former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
India delivered a dominant performance, defeating England by 150 runs and sealing the series 4-1. Abhishek Sharma led the charge with an explosive 135 off just 54 balls, including 13 sixes. Mukesh Ambani, usually reserved, was seen celebrating Sharma’s innings from the stands.
Rishi Sunak, balancing his British ties and Indian heritage, shared a post-match selfie on Instagram. “Tough day for England at Wankhede, but I know our team will come back stronger. Congratulations to Team India on the win,” he wrote. Sunak also expressed his excitement about meeting players Jos Buttler and Suryakumar Yadav before the game.
The VIP guests brought a mix of formal and casual styles to the event, with Narayana Murthy and Sunak dressed in blazers, while Mukesh Ambani opted for a casual cream-colored t-shirt. Akash Ambani showed his support in an India jersey. The group was also joined by Ajay Piramal, whose son, Anand, is married to Isha Ambani.
