Mumbai DCP Sudhakar Pathare Dies in Tragic Road Accident near Hyderabad
Mumbai: Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sudhakar Pathare, posted in the Mumbai Port Zone, passed away in a tragic road accident near Hyderabad on Saturday.

According to officials, Pathare had traveled to Hyderabad for training and was on his way to visit a temple with a friend when their car collided with a state transport (ST) bus near Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh around 12 pm. The impact left Pathare with severe head injuries, while his friend, Bhagwat Khodake, sustained leg and internal injuries. Both were declared dead upon arrival at a private hospital.
Nagarkurnool Superintendent of Police, Vaibhav Gaikwad, confirmed the incident and stated that further investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police expressed grief over the untimely demise of DCP Pathare. In a statement, DCP (Detection) Datta Nalawade described him as a dedicated officer who served with commitment and integrity. He added that Pathare’s contributions to maintaining law and order were invaluable, and his passing is a great loss to the force.
Mumbai Police extended their condolences to Pathare’s family, friends, and colleagues, mourning the loss of one of their finest officers.
