Mumbai News: Enraged Over Ex’s New Relationship, Man Kidnaps & Gang-Rapes Her with Friends
A 22-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend and his five friends before being gang-raped by four of them.
Police have registered a case of kidnapping and gang rape against six people. Only one of the accused has been arrested so far. The woman and the main accused, her ex-boyfriend, are from the same village.
According to police sources, the woman and her ex-boyfriend were in a relationship for a few years but broke up four months ago. She later got into a new relationship, which enraged her ex-boyfriend. He then planned to take revenge.
On Thursday night, the ex-boyfriend, Aslam (name changed), took the woman’s brother hostage. He forced the brother to call his sister and ask her to come to a specific location.
The woman, who saw 15 missed calls from her brother, called him back around 1:15 am on Friday. He told her he was unwell and asked her to meet him. She took a rickshaw and reached the spot, where she found her ex-boyfriend and his friends waiting with her brother.
The accused assaulted her brother and the rickshaw driver. They then forced the woman into the rickshaw and took her to an isolated area in bushes behind a school. There, four of them raped her one after another. Later, they took her to another location and assaulted her again inside a pick-up van.
All accused are aged between 20 and 25. Police are investigating the case and trying to arrest the remaining suspects.
