Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash has set up two teams, ‘Social Security Team’, which will work under the supervision of the commissioner led by Inspector Prasad Gokhale.
Ever since the appointment of commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad IPS Krishna Prakash his work has been grabbing eye balls of the citizens because of his past work and the locals have high expectations from him to resolve several issues troubling them.
The recent policy of ‘Social Security Team’, which will deal with the anti-social elements in the city, has been formed into two groups.
Speaking with IPS Krishna Prakash, he expressed his views on the formation of the team, he said “These teams will look after those people who are trying to create social unrest in the society. However, these teams will work under my supervision. There are total two teams, who would be led Senior P.I. Prasad Gokhale.”
When asked about the strategies on how they would work and resolve issues troubling citizens, he said, “The team has been asked to resolve issues such as unauthorised selling of liquor, gambling, extortion and drug peddling or consumption.”
According to the information shared by the Commissioner and P.I. Prasad Gokhale, it was also found out that these teams have successfully carried out a total of six – seven raids in the city so far. The main aim of this initiative is to strengthen the grip of local Police stations on such anti-social elements. The Commissioner has also confirmed that once the team carries out raid in any given area of Pimpri Chinchad, we will come to know that the local Police station has either turned a blind eye or they have failed to bring issues under control.
