Boy’s Mother Discovered Recorded Video Of Teacher’s Inappropriate Behaviour On Instagram Chat
A 35-year-old female teacher from Ulwe has been arrested by Koparkhairane police for allegedly behaving in a sexually inappropriate manner with a Class 10 student during an Instagram video call. According to police sources, the teacher, who taught at the boy’s school and was familiar with him, exposed herself partially and acted obscenely during the call.
The student secretly recorded the call and saved the video on his phone. The incident came to light on Sunday when the boy’s mother, while checking his mobile phone, she came across the video of the teacher in a semi-naked state, besides making obscene gestures and speech as well. Shocked and enraged, she approached the Koparkhairane police and lodged a formal complaint.
Based on the complaint, the teacher was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Officials confirmed that the teacher and student had developed a rapport through regular school interactions, which she allegedly exploited.
Police are now investigating the extent of the teacher’s actions and whether other students may have been targeted.
