Neither Adani nor Ambani! Kerala Tech CEO Buys India’s Most Expensive Number Plate for ₹47 Lakh
Kochi entrepreneur registers Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG with KL 07 DG 0007, setting a national record
VIP number plates have always been a craze among India’s elite, but this time it isn’t a Bollywood superstar or a billionaire industrialist making headlines. Venu Gopalakrishnan, CEO of Litmus7, has purchased the country’s most expensive number plate — KL 07 DG 0007 — for a staggering ₹47 lakh.
The exclusive registration was secured for his newly purchased Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, a luxury SUV worth around ₹4.2 crore. The Satin Military Green vehicle, fitted with gloss-black alloy wheels and premium black-leather interiors, also boasts a dual-screen entertainment setup for rear passengers.
Under the hood, the AMG G63 packs a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 585 bhp and 850 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed DCT automatic transmission.

Beyond the AMG: An Enviable Garage
This isn’t Venu’s first luxury indulgence. He already owns:
- Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Black Badge — India’s first of its kind, costing around ₹18 crore and finished in Black Diamond and Gunmetal Grey.
- Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato — Kochi’s first, equipped with body cladding, raised suspension, reinforced sills, and roof-mounted intakes for off-road performance.
Breaking the Stereotype
Until now, the country’s most expensive number plates were typically associated with celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, MS Dhoni, or business tycoons like Mukesh Ambani. With his ₹47 lakh bid, Venu has rewritten the record books, proving that tech entrepreneurs are not far behind when it comes to flaunting exclusivity.
