New Superfast Trains to Run from Pune – Big Relief for Passengers from Maharashtra, MP, and Chhattisgarh
Pune, June 2:
There’s good news for railway passengers in Pune and nearby areas. The Indian Railways has approved two new superfast express trains, which will connect Pune, Gondia, Rewa, Jabalpur, and Raipur, offering faster and more convenient travel between Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
The new train services will be especially helpful for passengers from Western Maharashtra and Vidarbha, as well as parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. One of the new superfast trains will run on the Rewa–Gondia–Pune route, and the other on the Jabalpur–Gondia–Raipur route.
These trains have been approved after continuous follow-up by Balaghat MP Bharatiya Parthi, who pushed for better train connectivity in the region. Responding to these demands, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the launch of the new services.
Train Routes:
- The Rewa–Pune Superfast Express will travel via
Rewa – Satna – Jabalpur – Nainpur – Balaghat – Gondia – Nagpur – Pune - The Jabalpur–Raipur Superfast Express will run via
Jabalpur – Nainpur – Balaghat – Gondia – Raipur
These trains will help reduce travel time and improve rail connectivity between the three states. Passengers from Gondia and Pune are expected to benefit the most from this new development.
The Railway Department is expected to announce the schedule and start date soon.
