The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) announced that over 1.4 lakh transactions were recorded on the first day of its newly launched annual toll pass scheme for FASTag users. Launched at midnight on Thursday, the pass allows smooth, hassle-free travel across 1,150 toll plazas on national highways (NHs) and expressways.

According to NHAI, around 1.4 lakh FASTag users have already purchased the pass, which can be activated within two hours of payment through the Rajmargyatra App or the official NHAI website. At any point of time, nearly 20,000–25,000 concurrent users are accessing the app. Users also receive SMS alerts confirming zero toll fee deductions when using the pass.

The scheme requires a one-time fee of ₹3,000, offering validity for one year or 200 toll plaza crossings, and is applicable for all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag.

To ensure smooth operations, NHAI has deployed officials at every toll plaza and strengthened its 1033 helpline with over 100 additional executives to address queries and grievances.
