Mumbai, October 15, 2025 – If you frequently travel on national highways and are troubled by unclean toilets at toll plazas, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has come up with a special incentive for you. Under its new cleanliness initiative, NHAI will reward travellers who report dirty toilets at toll plazas with a ₹1,000 FASTag recharge.

The scheme, launched as part of the ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ (Cleanliness Drive), aims to improve hygiene and facilities across India’s highways. It will remain valid until October 31, 2025.

How to Claim the ₹1,000 FASTag Reward:

  • Use the ‘RajmargYatra’ App: Travellers must file complaints using the latest version of the app.
  • Upload Geo-tagged, Time-stamped Photos: Take clear photos of the unclean toilet with location and time details.
  • Provide Details: Fill in your name, location, vehicle registration number (VRN), and mobile number in the app.

Key Rules and Conditions:

  • Reward Amount: ₹1,000 FASTag recharge per valid complaint.
  • Non-transferable: The reward cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
  • One-time Reward per Vehicle: Each vehicle registration number can claim the reward only once during the campaign.
  • Applicable Toilets: Only toilets built, operated, or maintained by NHAI are eligible. Toilets at fuel stations or dhabas are excluded.
  • One Reward per Location per Day: Even if multiple complaints are received for the same toilet in a day, only the first valid report will be rewarded.
  • Verification Process: Complaints will undergo AI-assisted screening and manual verification. Manipulated or duplicate photos will be rejected.

NHAI expects that this innovative campaign will significantly enhance cleanliness and user experience across India’s national highways.
