Aditya Agarwal’s frustration with Apple’s latest iPhone 16 Pro sparks widespread agreement online.

Aditya Agarwal, an Indian-born tech executive based in San Francisco, recently voiced his disappointment with Apple’s newly released iPhone 16 Pro, calling the upgrade from his previous iPhone 14 Pro a “waste of time.” In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Agarwal shared his frustration, noting that he could not distinguish any significant differences between the two models.

“I ‘upgraded’ from the iPhone 14 Pro to the iPhone 16 Pro. I literally cannot tell the difference. It took me 24 hours to set up the new phone properly etc. It just feels like a waste of time,” he posted, capturing the sentiments of many disillusioned users. Agarwal’s comments particularly centered on the much-anticipated “Apple Intelligence” feature, which promises to revolutionize AI-powered functionality but has yet to make its presence felt in the new device. “I do not understand where this ‘Apple Intelligence’ is????” he questioned.

Agarwal’s remarks sparked conversation online, with users echoing his frustrations. One user pointed out, “Apple Intelligence is a promised update, not available yet,” but Agarwal quickly responded, “Show not tell. Ship, don’t promise,” emphasizing his desire for immediate results rather than future updates. He also downplayed the significance of improved battery life and camera upgrades, stating, “I had paid for a lot of goddamn charging cables over the years and did not really care for more battery life.”

In the comments section, many users supported Agarwal’s viewpoint. One user remarked, “I also upgraded. The difference is that I’m now $1,400 poorer, but with the same exact phone.”

Another user echoed this sentiment: “I went from a 12 to a 16 and still can’t tell much of a difference. And yes, re-logging into all my apps is a waste of time.”

While some users shared their disillusionment with Apple’s latest offering, others recommended switching back to Android, suggesting that better and more reasonably priced phones are available in the market.

“iPhone users won’t accept this, but many better phones are available in the market at much more reasonable rates. Just switch back to Android!” one user suggested, reflecting growing dissatisfaction among Apple customers.
