Number of DigiYatra facility users crosses 1-crore mark
Till February 11, 2024, 1.45 crore people have used the DigiYatra facility all over India. There were 45.8 lakh passengers who had downloaded the Digi Yatra app to their smartphones. It represents a 20.5% increase from 38 lakhs as of January 1, 2024.
As per further information from the X handle of user Ridhima Bhatnagar “DigiYatra app users number crosses 45.8 Lakhs. Number of passengers who have travelled using DigiYatra reaches 1.45 crore. DigiYatra to be launched at Chennai airport by March 31st, 2024.”

In December 2022, the DigiYatra was first introduced at three airports: New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Varanasi. It was later introduced in ten additional airports.
DigiYatra is an IT project of the Ministry of Civil Aviation that uses biometric verification technology to facilitate smooth and hassle-free passenger movement at airport entry gates.
