The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will start accepting online applications for the SSC (Class 10) exam, scheduled for February-March, from Monday, October 7. Regular students will have their applications filled through the school heads via the SARAL database.

Applications for repeaters, private students who have received a registration certificate, students under the grade improvement scheme, and those appearing with specific or ITI (Industrial Training Institute) subjects under the Transfer of Credit scheme can also apply online through their school heads on the board’s official website,

www.mahahsscboard.in. The last date to submit the applications with the regular fee is November 5.

Before submitting applications, all secondary schools are required to update and submit accurate information regarding their school profile, subjects, and teachers to the board. After submitting the students’ applications, schools will be provided with a pre-list of the applicants through their login.

Schools must print this pre-list and verify all student details against the general register. Once verified, the students must sign the pre-list to confirm the accuracy of the information. The headmasters are also required to sign and stamp each page of the pre-list as a confirmation of the verification, according to Anuradha Oak, Secretary of the State Board.

For regular students, updated records in the SARAL database are necessary to submit applications. However, repeaters, private candidates, and others not listed in the SARAL database must follow the standard online application process. Students seeking transfer of credit under the Skill Bridge Program must also submit both online applications and hard copies of the required documents to the divisional board.
