New Delhi: A video shared by journalist Suryanshi Pandey detailing her harassment experience has gone viral, reigniting concerns over women’s safety in the capital.

On February 17, around 10:30 PM, Pandey was walking home from Lajpat Nagar to Sant Nagar when a group of men in a car harassed her. In an emotional Instagram post, she expressed relief that the situation didn’t escalate further but highlighted the daily struggles women face in Delhi. She has since filed a police complaint.

In the viral video, Pandey described how the men called out to her inappropriately, making her feel unsafe. “Delhi is not safe. I was just walking home when a car full of men started harassing me, shouting, ‘Oye, idhar aa’ (Hey, come here),” she recounted.

One user wrote, “This is not just about Delhi; every city is unsafe due to government inaction.” Another shared, “I’ve faced the same in Delhi and Gurugram. It’s frustrating that we have to justify our clothing choices.”

The incident has once again brought attention to the persistent issue of women’s safety in Delhi, a city frequently criticized for its high crime rates against women.
