PCMC Approves Major Development Projects In Standing Committee Meeting

Pimpri, January 7, 2025: Administrator and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shekhar Singh approved several key proposals, including the implementation of the old pension scheme (OPS) for government employees who joined on or after November 1, 2005, during a special meeting of the Standing Committee held today.

The meeting took place in the Madhukarrao Pawale Auditorium of the Municipal Corporation’s main administrative building. Along with Administrator Singh, Additional Commissioners Pradeep Jambhale Patil, Vijaykumar Khorate, Chandrakant Indalkar, and department heads were present.

Key approvals included:

  • Cleaning of stormwater drains and footpath repairs in Ward 10 (Morwadi and surrounding areas).
  • Hotmix asphalt resurfacing of internal roads in Rahatani (Ward 28).
  • Structural improvements to main and internal roads in Kiwale (Ward 16).
  • Repairs to trenches and potholes in Ajmera, Yashwant Nagar, and Uday Nagar (Ward 9).
  • Necessary structural repairs in Ward 17.

Additional approvals included assigning women’s self-help groups the cleaning and maintenance of community toilets in slum areas and managing waste in zero-waste projects at Rose Garden (Ward 8). Daily waste management in SRA rehabilitated housing at H.A. Ground was also sanctioned.
