PCMC collected Rs 25,000 from vendors for carrying banned plastic

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation recently imposed fine on vendors for carrying and selling banned plastic. In it’s Anti plastic drive it imposed fine on the vendors in Moshi Agriculture Produce Marketing commiittee. the action was taken by K Ward Office.
The surprise raid was held in association with MIDC Police Station in Agriculture market of Moshi to send a strong message across the city for curbing use of plastic.
Anil Roy, PCMC Official, was assisted by Assistant Commissioner, Anna Bodade, Senior Police Inspector, Shivaji Gavare. Almost 40 vendors were screened for procuring plastic bags and five vendors were found to be using banned plastic bags. A fine of Rs 25,000 was recovered from the violators.
