PCMC collects fine of Rs 25000 from Moshi APMC traders

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation collected a fine of 25 thousand in its ‘plastic-free’ drive.

PCMC has time and again conveyed its stance against the use of plastic to save the environment and free the city drainge system from clogging. However, in its recent drive against the us of plastic, the PCMC Health Ward (K) conducted a surprise raid in association with MIDC Police Station in Agriculture market of Moshi to send a strong message across the city against the use of plastic. Anil Roy, PCMC Official, was assisted by Assistant Commissioner, Anna Bodade, Senior Police Inspector, Shivaji Gavare. Almost 40 vendors were fined for procuring plastic bags and five vendors were found to be using banned plastic bags. A fine of 25 thousand rupees was recovered from the violators.
