Pimpri, 6 January 2025 : The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has concluded an extensive household survey under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana (CMYKPY) reaching over 31,400 households across 44 slums in the city limits. This initiative aimed to gather crucial data on youth demographics, skills, and career aspirations, providing a foundation for targeted skilling and employment programs.

The data gathered from the survey highlights areas where targeted interventions can make the most impact. It also underscores the need for better awareness campaigns, specialized training programs, and closer collaboration with industries to bridge the gap between youth aspirations and job opportunities.

PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, emphasizing the survey’s role in shaping future initiatives, said, “The findings of this survey provide us with a clear roadmap to address the needs of our youth. It enables us to focus on skilling, career counseling, and creating opportunities that align with their aspirations and the demands of the job market."
