PCMC encourages timely property tax payments with additional 2% incentive for regular taxpayers
Pimpri: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is actively encouraging property owners to pay their taxes on time by offering additional incentives for regular taxpayers. As part of this initiative, property owners who have consistently paid their property tax for three consecutive years without default will be eligible for an additional 2% rebate in the fourth year, over and above the standard tax concessions.
Meanwhile, the PCMC Property Tax Department has intensified its recovery efforts against property tax defaulters, especially commercial establishments such as schools, hotels, hospitals, factories, and malls. So far, attachment proceedings have been carried out on 757 properties, and those who have not yet cleared their outstanding dues will face auction proceedings soon. An official notice regarding the auction will be published shortly. Defaulters whose properties have been attached must settle their dues by February 25, 2025, to avoid further action.

The department has also observed that while 4,86,961 property owners have paid Rs 730 crore in property tax this year, a significant 69,000 property owners who had regularly paid taxes in the past have not yet made their payments for the current year. This delay could lead to them missing out on the 2% additional rebate.
Incentive for Regular Taxpayers: Secure Your 2% Additional Rebate!
To encourage prompt tax payments, PCMC is offering a 2% incentive for property owners who have paid their taxes on time for three consecutive years. However, those who fail to pay the current year’s tax in time will lose their eligibility for this incentive.
“We urge all regular taxpayers to continue their timely payments and take advantage of the additional 2% rebate. Those who miss out on their payments this year will forfeit the incentive. We encourage property owners to settle their dues without delay,” said Avinash Shinde, Assistant Commissioner, Property Tax Department, PCMC.
PCMC’s Appeal to Property Owners :Â
Clear all outstanding dues before February 25, 2025, to avoid auction proceedings.
Regular taxpayers should ensure they pay on time to continue availing rebates.
Late payments will result in loss of additional benefits.
