PCMC Makes Property Tax Payment Easy With One-Click SMS Link
Personalised payment links sent to registered mobile numbers to promote digital payments
Pimpri, August 2, 2025: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has taken a citizen-friendly step to make property tax payments quicker and more convenient. The Property Tax Department is now sending customised payment links via SMS to the registered mobile numbers of property owners. With a single click, citizens can view their tax bill and pay it online, from wherever they are.
This initiative is part of PCMC’s broader effort to digitise municipal services and reduce the need for in-person visits. Citizens are advised to ensure they are using the official PCMC website when making payments through the link.
There are 7.31 lakh registered properties in the city. Many services offered by the Tax Department—such as tax payments, property transfers, rebate applications, and no-dues certificates—are now fully online. However, property owners who have not yet linked their mobile number with their property account are encouraged to do so immediately to access these services.
PCMC Assistant Commissioner Avinash Shinde also highlighted that those who pay their property tax online are eligible for a 4% rebate on the general tax component. He urged citizens to take advantage of this benefit and complete their payments well before the deadline.
Online Services Offered by PCMC Property Tax Department:
Property Tax Payment
Property Ownership Transfer
Property Tax Rebate Schemes
No Dues Certificate Issuance
“PCMC’s core objective is to deliver fast, efficient services using modern technology. Online tax payment not only saves time for citizens but also supports transparent governance. We will continue introducing more such digital solutions going forward.”
— Pradip Jambhale Patil, Additional Commissioner, PCMC
“Those who have linked their mobile numbers with their property records are already using our online services. Others are requested to update their records soon, so they too can access all services from home.”
— Avinash Shinde, Assistant Commissioner, PCMC
