PCMC: Nani Ghule appointed as Deputy Mayor Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation
Nani Ghule, who is serving her first term is elected with majority as a deputy mayor of the Pimpri Chinchwad. The seat was left vacant ever since Tushar Hinge resigned from his position as a deputy mayor.
The sources suggest that due to her ability of soft spoken and decision maker, Nani Ghule had stood as a top contender for the post.
Pune Pulse reached out to Nani Ghule, who while talking to Pune Pulse said, “It is my honour to be able to win the majority for becoming deputy mayor of the fastest growing city. I will forever be working for the citizens at any given opportunity and time.”
With Nani Ghule occupying the deputy mayor position and Maai Dhore as a mayor of the city, the two most powerful political authorities have been occupied by women. Shatrughan Kate, one of the area corporators of Pimple Saudagar and a BJP loyalist, while talking to Pune Pulse said, “The BJP wing has preferred two top most and wise senior political figures on the position of Mayor and Deputy mayor. Both of them have a very good understanding about every section of the society, and hence no section of the society will be left out under their governance.”
Nirmala Kute, area corporator from Pimple Saudagar, while talking to Pune Pulse said, “This is an extremely positive decision by the party. For the last one year, Maai Dhore has been able initiate many development works. She is a powerful example of Women Empowerment.”
