PCMC Urges Citizens to Pay Property Tax by June 30 to Avail Up to 30% Discounts
Pune: Just One Day Left To Avail 4 Percent Rebate On Property Tax, Appeals PCMC
Pimpri, June 13, 2025: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has appealed to residents to pay their property tax by June 30, 2025, to benefit from a range of tax rebates. Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh urged citizens to make timely payments and take advantage of up to 10% discounts on online payments made through the official website or mobile app.
Properties registered in women’s names are eligible for up to 30% discount, as part of PCMC’s women empowerment initiative. Tax concessions are also extended to properties owned by differently-abled individuals and housing societies implementing eco-friendly practices.
So far, 1,89,823 property owners have paid online and availed discounts, generating ₹189.52 crore through digital transactions — reflecting a strong citizen response to the online system.
However, the corporation is facing over ₹498 crore in property tax arrears from around 76,688 property holders. Defaulters have been issued pre-seizure notices, and recovery action will be initiated if dues are not cleared promptly.
PCMC emphasized that property tax is a key revenue source for infrastructure, sanitation, roads, and water supply. Citizens are urged to support city development by ensuring timely tax payment and avoiding penalties.
