Peaceful & Beautiful Hidden Places to Visit in Konkan

Konkan has many beautiful places that most people haven’t discovered yet. These spots are peaceful, close to nature, and free from crowds. If you love beaches, greenery, and old temples, these places are worth a visit.

Devgad Fort

This historical fort is close to Devgad and gives great views of the sea. Carry your own water while visiting. If you have your own vehicle, you can also visit Vijaydurga Fort on the same day. It’s around 40 km from the Mumbai–Goa Highway, and Kankavli is the nearest railway station.

Tambaldeg

This is a hidden village full of natural beauty. A peaceful trail leads you through tall trees to a beach where the Gajbadevi Temple is located. It’s 15 km from Kunakeshwar, 5 km from Mithbav, and 30 km from Devgad.

Mithbav & Rameshwar Temple

This quiet coastal village has an ancient Rameshwar Temple with beautiful design. The greenery, peaceful sea, and heritage charm make it ideal for a calm visit.

Darshan Beach

Just 3.5 km from Devgad Fort, this quiet beach is not well-known. It has clean sand, clear water, and is perfect for relaxing in nature.

Anganewadi – Bharadi Devi Temple

This is a famous temple where a big fair happens every year. It’s about 58 km from Devgad and can be reached in around 1.5 hours by road.

Mithmumbari Beach

This clean, quiet beach is near Kunakeshwar and just 4 km from Devgad. Few tourists visit, making it a great spot to enjoy peaceful sunsets. Taramumbari Beach nearby is also worth visiting.

Kunakeshwar Beach and Temple

This 11th-century Shiva temple is near a peaceful beach. The view of the temple from the beach is stunning. Located 18 km from Devgad, it’s easy to reach by bus. You’ll also find local food and solkadhi nearby. Other close spots are Vijaydurga Fort, Rameshwar Temple, and Devgad Jetty.

Dahibav Village

This charming village has the beautiful Mahadevshwar Temple with a red roof and unique architecture. It’s surrounded by coconut farms, rice fields, and natural beauty. In the monsoon, visit the hidden waterfall and cave.

Gajbadevi Temple

Close to Mithbav, this peaceful temple faces a clean beach. Very few people visit, so it’s ideal for spiritual and quiet time. MTDC cottages are available nearby for stays.

Devgad Windmills and Garden

High on a hill near the sea, you can enjoy stunning views and watch windmills spin. There’s a lovely garden nearby where you can sit and relax by the sea.
