Pimpri, January 7, 2025: Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh has issued a stern warning to remove unauthorized flex boards, advertisements, posters, kiosks, gantries, and banners across Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) limits. Failure to comply will result in strict action against violators.
A special meeting was held at the main administrative building under the chairmanship of Commissioner Singh to address the enforcement of the 1995 Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act and related municipal advertisement regulations. Additional Commissioners Pradeep Jambhale Patil, Vijaykumar Khorate, Chandrakant Indalkar, regional officers, and relevant officials attended the meeting.
Commissioner Singh directed regional officers to ensure immediate action against unauthorized advertisement structures and engage citizens in monitoring through local committees. Strict action will also be taken against violations involving the use of non-biodegradable materials.
Citizens can report violations through the toll-free number 8888006666, SMS/WhatsApp at 9823118090, or the official PCMC website www.pcmcindia.gov.in. A QR code and permit details must be prominently displayed on all authorized advertisement boards, failing which violators will face penalties.
Temporary structures for festivals or events must not display unauthorized advertisements. Any non-compliance will attract fines. Commissioner Singh emphasized that all unauthorized materials must be removed promptly, and detailed documentation, including photographs and reports, should be maintained.
The implementation of advertisement regulations is being enforced through the PCMC’s Sky Sign and Licensing Department.
