Pimpri Chinchwad: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has taken decisive action against unauthorized schools operating in the city. Cases have been registered against Little Star English Medium School and Orchid International School in Chinchwad, highlighting the corporation’s efforts to uphold educational standards.

In the first case, complaints have been filed against Jay DeCosta from Bangalore and Sameer Gorde from Vimannagar, Pune, associated with Orchid International School. In the second case, Shreyakumar from Chinchwadenagar, Chinchwad, has been charged in connection with Little Star English Medium School. Vilas Dayaram Patil, a 51-year-old resident of Navi Sangvi, lodged both complaints at the Chinchwad police station on Monday, the 15th.

According to the police, since April 2024, the accused have been operating these schools without adhering to government regulations. They allegedly misled parents into believing the schools were legitimate, enrolling students illegally and collecting fees. The prosecution claims the accused have deceived the government, students, and parents, seizing students’ certificates and other educational documents.
