Pimpri: The property survey of all types of properties across the city, conducted by the tax assessment and collection department, is in its final phase. A total of 855,102 properties have been given geo-sequenced identification numbers, and 532,307 properties have undergone internal measurement. As part of the survey, 52,787 properties have been issued a Special Notice 1. Out of these, 22,582 property owners have raised objections, and 16,953 have submitted the required documents, receiving their final bills. Among these, 4,261 property owners have paid ₹89,954,289 in taxes, with 4,134 paying online and availing of relevant concessions.

Online Objections are ‘Simpler’:

Of the 22,582 property owners who have received Special Notice 1, 20,475 submitted objections offline, while 2,106 did so online. Citizens can scan the QR code on the notice to confirm and receive their bill online, making the process smoother. Additionally, objections regarding property details can be submitted online, with prompt resolution and hearings also held online. After completing the necessary paperwork, a hearing will be scheduled for the objection, as per the tax assessment and collection department’s guidelines.

21-Day Deadline for Objections after Receiving Special Notice 1:

Property owners who receive Special Notice 1 have 21 days to raise objections if they disagree with the notice. They can object to issues like incorrect taxable value, assessment date, property area, ownership name, address, mobile number, or email ID. The department urges property owners to submit required documents online, after which a hearing will be scheduled within 21 days.

Concessions for Newly Assessed Properties:

Newly assessed properties for this year can avail various concessions for up to three months from the date of billing. These include a 5% discount for advance payment, 5% for online payments, 30% for properties owned by women, 50% for those owned by disabled individuals, 10% for zero-waste management or active STP plants, 2% for properties with EV charging stations, and 5-10% for properties with 3-5 Green Building ratings.
