Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Launch Dedicated Health Clinic For OfficersÂ
Pimpri-Chinchwad, December 14, 2024: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has inaugurated a dedicated health clinic exclusively for police personnel. The facility, located in Kaveri Nagar, Wakad, was formally launched by Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Choubey.
Acknowledging the high levels of stress and health challenges faced by officers who remain on duty 24/7, the Commissioner emphasized the need for such an initiative. Police personnel often sacrifice personal and family time, particularly during festivals, to ensure public safety and maintain law and order. This continuous workload frequently leads to physical and mental health issues, necessitating a comprehensive healthcare solution.
Well-Equipped and Staffed
The police clinic is equipped with modern medical facilities and a dedicated team, including Dr. Radhakrishna Pawar, who played a significant role in setting up the clinic, along with medical officers Anupama Kamble and Dr. Sanjay Bharti. A staff of eight professionals has been deployed to manage operations effectively.
With 4,927 police personnel, including male and female officers, working under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissionerate, this clinic aims to provide critical healthcare support and improve the well-being of its force.
“This health facility is a step towards recognizing and addressing the health challenges faced by our officers due to their demanding duties,” stated Commissioner Choubey during the inauguration ceremony.
