PMPML begins bio CNG buses from city to Pune Airport
Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited on October 23, 2020 inaugurated the much awaited ABHI (Airport to Business, Home, Hotel and Interconnectivity) air conditioned bus service that shall operate from city to Pune Airport. Renuka Suryavanshi This is an initiative of PMPML and Smart City Development Corporation Ltd Pune. This facility shall run on five routes in Pune, such as Kothrud, Hadapsar, Swargate, Hinjawadi and Nigdi to Pune Airport.
Kuldeep Singh, director, Pune airport informed Pune Pulse that this is for the first time that green buses are being run in the city and mainly for travellers convenience as well as reducing the pollution. He said this initiative will definitely bring down the load which adds up at the Pune airport and help it in making congestion free. The frequency is great too and I urge that travellers make use of a sustainable mode of transport in helping us all in reducing air and sound pollution.
