PMPML to start buses on 12 new routes on December 12
In an attempt to connect various industrial hubs and urban places along the highway corridor for better connectivity and mobilty, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has taken a step and introduced bus facility on 12 new routes.
Rajendra Jagtap, director, PMPML informed that this move shall help on joining many industrial units and providing the employees a better connectivity facility. It has been timed in such a way that it coincides with the birthday of Hon Sharad Pawar to honour and recognise his contribution for Pune in his 80 th year.It is also an attempt to reach out to newer passengers and areas too.
Jagtap further said, “The procedure started two months back and has undergone proper study and survey to fix up stages, stops and fares by approval from Route rationalization and fare optimization committee of PMPML.These will be operational for a period of 3 months to take up response and make amendments accordingly. We hope to add on new areas and routes newer initiative to bring in ridership and improve revenue post Covid19.”
