PMPML’s Carisma – A unique initiative of colour coding buses

Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited on November 12, 2020 launched a unique initiative by introducing Carisma – Colour Coding All Routes to Identify Simplyify Maps and App. According to the information given by the officials over 1300 buses have been pasted colour codes.
Around 53 buses operating under the ATAL scheme, launched last month, have been pasted with orange colour code while the airport service has been branded with pink colour.
The information was announced by Chairman and Managing director, PMPML Dr Rajendra Jagtap and other PMPML officers in a press conference held at the PMPML office. This initiative of Innovative Color Coding Exercise by PMPML is being implemented for the first time in India and is based on best Global Practices.
Highlights :
• 140 now in 15 colours, Atal in orange 9+53, Abhi Airport in Pink 5. This initiative of Carisma has Outside the Bus –Inside & Outside the Bus – At the Bus Stop & In the App-CARISMA wherein all routes are colour coded to easily identify the routes and the direction in which the buses will be plying. The colour coding makes the bus route easily visible and embedded in people’s mind.
CARISMA is designed to be a dynamic and evolving process for the benefit of Commuters

following within 90 days from Deepawali
• Inside all PMPML Buses
• All Bus stands
• Major bus stops
• All interchanges
• Simultaneous Public Consultation will be done through official social media handles of PMPML to gauge public opinion and improve efficacy of CARISMA.
