The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, yesterday had an enriching interaction with astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, marking a moment of pride for the nation.
During the meeting, the two discussed a wide spectrum of subjects including Shukla’s experiences in space, India’s strides in science and technology, and the country’s ambitious human spaceflight programme—Gaganyaan.
In a post on X, Modi wrote:
“Had a great interaction with Shubhanshu Shukla. We discussed a wide range of subjects including his experiences in space, progress in science & technology as well as India’s ambitious Gaganyaan mission. India is proud of his feat.
Shubhanshu Shukla, in his tweet said, “Met with the Hon PM today. Last time I spoke to him virtually was from Orbit with this same flag in the background on the @iss. I cannot describe how proud I felt that day representing Bharat and today when I was speaking to the PM Like I said this is just the first step in Bharat’s journey of human spaceflight.”
