Pune, January 16, 2025: The stage is set for the 18th Vasantotsav, a three-day music festival organized by the Vasantrao Deshpande Pratishthan. The event will feature top-notch artists and showcase varied themes. It will take place at Suryakant Kakade Farms, Kothrud, from January 17-19, 5:30 pm-10:00 pm.
The festival kicks off (January 17) with a high-energy performance by renowned rock band Agni, famous for hits like ‘Kabira’ and ‘Sham Tanha’. The first day will conclude with a show-stopping performance by Kerala’s Thaikudam Bridge, a 15-member ensemble known for its versatility, having performed over 650 shows worldwide.
On January 18, the festival features a duet violin performance by sisters Ranjani and Gayatri, a renowned Carnatic vocal and violin duo. A performance by Pt Sanjeev Abhyankar, a classical vocalist of the Mewati Gharana, and a National Award winner will follow this. The evening will witness a mesmerizing performance by Shujaat Hussain Khan, a renowned Indian musician and sitar player, who has recorded over 100 albums and has been nominated for a Grammy Award.
The final day, January 19, promises to be a treat for music lovers. The first session features National Award winner and classical vocalist Rahul Deshpande, followed by a performance by Padma Shri awardee Hariharan.
