Pune: 27 Arrested As Pimpri Chinchwad Police Bust ₹34 Lakh Gambling Den In Charholi
Pune, September 1, 2025: Pimpri Chinchwad police raided a gambling den in Charholi Budruk on the evening of August 30, arresting 27 men, including known offenders Ganpat Landge and Ketan Zore, for their alleged involvement in illegal betting activities.
During the operation, authorities seized gambling equipment and cash worth approximately ₹34 lakh.
A case was registered at Dighi Police Station on August 31 under sections 4 and 5 of the Maharashtra Gambling Act.
Police officials said the raid was carried out after receiving a tip-off about large-scale gambling operations in the area. The team swiftly surrounded the premises and apprehended all accused present at the scene.
Investigators are now tracing the financial links and networks associated with the gambling racket.
