Cases of violence against women are still prevalent in Pune, with another disturbing incident coming to light. A 32-year-old woman was kidnapped and violently beaten before being taken to the Karjat jungle, where she faced further assault.
The Sahakar Nagar police have registered a case against two individuals, including a woman, in connection with this event.
Reports indicate that the woman, who resides with her family in the Sahakar Nagar area, was familiar with the 36-year-old male suspect.
He drove her to the Karjat jungle, where he attempted to assault her. The accused physically attacked her, held her captive at his home for two days, and tried to force himself on her in the jungle, even breaking her mangalsutra. This shocking incident has left the community in Pune deeply unsettled.
