Pune: 35 Notices Issued As PMC Cracks Down In Illegal Constructions In Baner-Aundh Area

Pune, July 9, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) carried out an anti-encroachment drive on July 9, 2025, targeting unauthorized shops, hotels, tin sheds, and permanent illegal constructions along the Aundh-Baner Link Road (from Medipoint Chowk to Vidhate Vasti Chowk) and Baner Main Road.
The action was conducted by the Building Development Department of Zone 3 with the assistance of police personnel.
A total of 35 notices were executed, and approximately 31,200 sq. ft. of unauthorized area was cleared during the operation.
The drive was carried out under the guidance of PMC’s Superintendent Engineer, the Executive Engineer of Zone 3’s Building Department, and with support from Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers, other staff, a team led by an Assistant Police Inspector, along with one JCB machine, one gas cutter, and ten encroachment workers.
