Pune: ‘A Friend in Need’ Group Organises Cultural Event To Support Needy Families
Pune, September 19, 2025: A Friend in Need Group, a community-driven initiative known for its charitable efforts, recently organised a vibrant cultural evening at Viman Nagar. The organisation, which has been dedicated to helping the underprivileged for the past 15 years, continues to blend entertainment with social responsibility.
The event featured a ramp walk and singing performances, bringing together a diverse mix of talents. Participants included Vijay Lalwani, Bharat Punjabi, Bhagyashri Patil, Ranjana Dey, Hitesh Jakatda, Rutuja Bakshi, Chandrashekhar Diddi, Sanjay Laxman Deshmukh, Leena Bhosale, and Banu Arthunawala. Their performances not only entertained the audience but also highlighted the power of art in fostering community bonds.
The programme was made possible with the support of partners such as Vishal Patil, Shekhar Singh, Delia Maria, Bhumika Jain, Siddhanth, Neeta, and Bobby Lahiri, who contributed to the event’s smooth execution. Hosts Sumaiya Shaikh and Vinayak Ghorpade kept the energy high, engaging the audience throughout the evening.

Founder Madhu Vohra, who has been the driving force behind the initiative, extended heartfelt gratitude to her team and participants. After the performances, she personally distributed ration kits to underprivileged families, reaffirming the group’s mission of service and compassion.
