Pune: AAP Threatens Protest If Yerwada Metro Station Is Not Opened
A letter was handed over to the Executive Director of Maha Metro, Dr. Hemant Sonawane, demanding the immediate opening of the Yerwada Metro Station. If not, AAP will launch a protest.
The station was scheduled to be inaugurated on March 6, but due to local interference, the work has been repeatedly halted, shattering the dreams of lakhs of residents in Yerwada and surrounding areas who hoped to travel by metro.
The citizens requested Aam Aadmi Party’s Organization Minister, Manoj Shetty, to intervene and get the station operational. In response, Pune City President of AAP’s Youth Wing, Amit Mhaske, along with Umesh Shetty, visited the Maha Metro office, engaged in discussions, and issued a warning of protests.
