Pune: Accident Near Gloria Grace Society, Bavdhan: Urgent Need for Speed Breaker Ignored
Pune: A serious accident occurred near Gloria Grace Society on Mulshi Road in Bavdhan, where a speeding car rammed into multiple two-wheelers, leaving several people injured. The mishap took place on a stretch of road that locals say urgently needs a speed breaker — a demand that has long been ignored.
According to eyewitnesses, the car lost control and struck at least 3-4 two-wheelers, leaving them scattered on the roadside. “Few of the injured are in critical condition,” said a local resident who rushed to help the victims.
Residents of the area have repeatedly appealed to authorities for traffic calming measures, especially a speed breaker near the society, citing frequent near-misses and dangerous speeding. However, no action has been taken so far.
“This was a disaster waiting to happen. We request the municipal and traffic authorities to urgently install a speed breaker here before more lives are put at risk,” a resident stated.
The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. Police are investigating the incident and identifying the driver involved.
