Pune, October 14, 2025: A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning in the Old Katraj Ghat area when a speeding PMPML bus collided head-on with a motorcycle, killing two people on the spot and leaving one woman critically injured. The accident took place around 8:30 a.m. near the Bhilarewadi turn within the jurisdiction of the Ambegaon Police Station.

According to preliminary reports, the PMPML bus was travelling at high speed from Katraj toward Ambegaon when it rammed into a Hero Honda Passion Pro bike carrying three riders. The impact caused all three to fall onto the road. Two of them died instantly, while the third sustained serious injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Akash Ramdas Gogawale (29), a resident of Sasewadi, and Anushka Prakash Wadkar (27). The injured woman, Neha Kailas Gogawale (20), was immediately rushed to Bharati Hospital, where her condition remains critical, doctors said. Police identified the bus driver as Sudhir Dilip Konde (42), a resident of Pune, who has been taken into custody.
