Every year on June 5, people around the world come together to observe World Environment Day, an initiative spearheaded by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). In 2025, the Republic of Korea leads the
global celebration, spotlighting one of the most urgent environmental concerns of our time—plastic pollution.

Amanora School actively participated in this international movement, marking the day with a series of meaningful, awareness-driven activities designed to inspire responsibility and environmental consciousness among students and
staff.

The celebration began on an energetic note with a Mini-Marathon for Teachers, starting from Amanora School to Aspire Town within Amanora Township. Teachers ran with placards bearing powerful messages such as “Save the Environment” and “Say No to Plastic”, drawing attention and admiration from bystanders. In a visually moving moment, the teachers stood in the formation of a tree, symbolizing life and sustainability, and took an
environmental pledge led by our Director Principal, Ms. Meera. This symbolic act reinforced the school’s commitment to protecting our planet. Students, too, played a pivotal role in the day’s events.

Through these activities, Amanora School reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and inspired students and staff alike to be the change-makers our planet needs. Let this World Environment Day be a reminder: Small actions, when multiplied,
can transform the world.
