Pune: Attack on Yuva Sena Leader’s Car Sparks Security Review

A recent firing incident targeting the car of the Pune Yuva Sena chief Nilesh Ghare has triggered renewed demands for stronger security measures for political leaders, especially in sensitive regions.
Supporters of the Yuva Sena and concerned residents gathered both at the scene of the attack and later at the hospital, where the leader underwent a precautionary check-up.
While many were relieved that there were no injuries, there was widespread anger and concern over the boldness of the assault. Party workers have since announced a peaceful protest, calling for swift police action and better protection for political activists.
In response, authorities have committed to stepping up night patrolling, increasing surveillance in vulnerable zones, and reassessing security protocols for prominent political figures in Pune.
The investigation remains active, with police urging the public to share any information that could aid their probe.
