The construction of the much-awaited Pune-Bengaluru Expressway is in progress and is expected to be completed by the end of 2028. This expressway is a part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana and is estimated to cost around Rs 50,000 crore.

The expressway will help reduce travel time between Pune and Bengaluru from the current 15 hours to just 7 hours. It will also serve as an alternative to National Highway 48 (NH-48), helping ease traffic congestion and improving connectivity.

According to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), vehicles on the expressway will be able to travel at speeds of up to 120 km/h, making the journey faster and more efficient.
