Pune, August 20, 2025: Jaymala Dhankikar, a prominent BJP worker and noted social activist from the NIBM Annexe area, has made a heartfelt appeal to the Maharashtra State Government, urging the immediate installation of a grand statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj along with the construction of a traffic circle at a major junction in NIBM Annexe, Pune.
In her representation, Dhankikar emphasized that the demand stems from the deep emotional and cultural sentiments of local residents, who view Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj as a towering figure of courage, patriotism, and unwavering faith. “This is not just about building a statue—it is about honoring a legacy that continues to inspire generations. The local community sees this as a matter of pride and identity,” she said.
She further noted that the proposed traffic circle would not only help regulate traffic more efficiently in the rapidly developing area but also add to the civic beauty of the locality.
