Pimpri – Three bombshells were discovered near the Police Commissionerate while excavation work was underway for water pipeline repairs. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, near the Premlok Park area in Chinchwad.

During the repair work on a water pipeline by the Municipal Corporation, workers found three bomb-like objects around 12:30 p.m. They immediately informed their supervisors, who then alerted the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads from both Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune Police Commissionerates. Upon arrival, the teams, including sniffer dogs and firefighters from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, carefully inspected the objects. It was confirmed that the bombshells were inactive.

Police Deputy Commissioner Swapna Gore, Assistant Police Commissioner Muktulal Patil, and Senior Police Inspector Jitendra Koli from Chinchwad Police Station also visited the site. A detailed investigation is underway to gather more information on the origins of these bombshells. For safety purposes, the inactive bombshells will be handed over to the Southern Command of the Defense Department.
