There is a possibility that the recent rain has caused the rocks to break open and fall downwards. On receiving the news of the incident, Assistant Municipal Corporation Rajesh Gurram, Ex-Corporator Mahesh Wable paid a visit to the spot.

In a tragic incident, four two-wheelers got stuck under the debris of a society in Sahakarnagar Number 2, which happened around 4:30 pm in the afternoon. After this incident, the construction department along with the Dhankawadi-Sahakarnagar Regional Office of the Municipal Corporation has started removing the dangerous part of the crack and fortunatelt no one was injured in this incident.
Children play in this area of the society every evening, but fortunately no one was injured in the landslide as there was no one present at that time.
Rajesh Gurram, Assistant Commissioner, PMC said, “The cleaning work of debris was done yesterday itself and the vehicles were rescued from the spot. The trees which were lying risky and hanging and affected due to the collapse of boulders have been removed as well.”
As this hill is adjacent to the societies, the forest department also needs to take the initiative to remove the dangerous rocks,” Mahesh Wable demanded.
