Pune: Case registered against Four for Setting Two Bikes Ablaze in Wagholi Over Personal Dispute
A shocking incident of arson took place in Wagheshwar Nagar, Wagholi, on Saturday, where four individuals set two bikes on fire due to a previous dispute. The incident occurred around 12:30 am, and a case has been registered against the accused.
Sudhir Laxman Petkar, a 34-year-old resident of Wagholi, filed a complaint stating that his two bikes were burnt by Ganesh Dande, Shrutik Yerkar, Suraj Pawar, and Sameer Pillay, all from Gore Vasti, Wagholi.
According to the police, Petkar’s family was asleep when they heard the sound and smell of something burning. Upon investigation, they found that Dande and his accomplices had set Petkar’s bike on fire. When confronted, Dande allegedly abused Petkar and threatened to set fire to another two-wheeler if he didn’t comply with his demands.
The Petkar family managed to extinguish the fire by pouring water, but the bikes were already damaged. The incident was reported to the police, and a case has been registered against the four accused.
This incident highlights the growing concern of personal disputes escalating into violent and destructive behavior. The police are investigating the matter further.
