Pune Charholi: Woman Gym Trainer, with Friend’s Help, Kills Youth with Rod; Walks to Police Station After Murder

Pune police have arrested a 22-year-old woman gym trainer and her 25-year-old male colleague for allegedly bludgeoning a 25-year-old man to death at their protein products shop in Charholi Phata on Wednesday.
According to Pimpri Chinchwad, the accused — both gym trainers and business partners — surrendered at the Dighi police station after the incident. Police identified the victim as Gopinath alias Lalla Varpe.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Vishal Hire said Varpe had visited the shop on Tuesday, where he allegedly abused the woman. He returned on Wednesday evening, repeated the abuse, and caused a commotion. Enraged, the duo attacked him with iron rods inside the shop before going to the police station.
Varpe was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Preliminary investigation revealed that Varpe and the woman knew each other but had stopped speaking around eight months ago. Police said the harassment began on Tuesday.
A case of murder has been registered against both accused under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
